Mr. & Mrs. Smith — a New Amazon Prime Series is a Must Binge — Don’t Bother with the Apple Argylle Movie
The new series, “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” — an 8-episode remake of the old 2000 Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie movie — is well worth watching — even binging.
The new streaming series is a mix of a rom-com and an action film, with superb acting.
Danny Glover and Maya Erskine play a couple who are spies and have to live and work together.
Their relationship is a forced marriage (by their anonymous spy agency head). But they grow to love each other. And later they seek therapy.
And it’s the whole relationship dynamic that is superbly played by both actors — completely believable. Even if the work roles they have are not.
And the bottom line is this — guys will like the action and couples will like the relationship parts of the movie.
