How I Use Probability To Make Money Playing Blackjack
I don’t hide that I count cards. It is the only proven way to beat the game of Blackjack. The house edge is fairly small, in fact, the lowest edge in any table game. Therefore, the game is beatable. But this is only if you learn (and practice) to count cards and apply betting strategies that benefit from this.
But I have also developed my own technique to supplement card counting. This is especially helpful in playing some of the more profitable side bets.
Advantage players (APs) might like to try this method and see if it works for them. But again, I want to warn you. This technique will not help anyone who is not already counting cards when playing Blackjack.
The Two Major Problems
This probability-based technique helps APs with the two major issues in counting cards. The first problem is this: variance can be quite high. Counting cards does not guarantee any profit on any given hand.
